NEC ultra-thin mobile phone – makes RAZR look LRDY
![]()
NEC Corporation has announced what it claims is the world’s thinnest mobile phone with 1.3 mega-pixel camera. Making Motorola’s RAZR look a bit lardy, the L1 is only 47.9mm (width) x 101.5mm (height) x 11.9mm (depth; when folded), and weighs a meagre 96g. Supporting mobile-internet and GSM/GPRS, it is equipped with a 1.9 inch (176~220 dot) 65,000 color display, 1.3 megapixel camera, PictBridge, MP3, Java and Bluetooth.
I know there are more feature-packed phones on the market, but somehow these ultra-thin variants really have the wow factor. It’s the type of phone you’d be happy to take out of your pocket, safe in the knowledge that your mates will go “wow!”…well, maybe not ‘wow’, but their own exclamation of impressedness anyway. Same it’s not available in the UK (yet).
