VK2000 tiny small wee mobile phone

Just as some phones are becoming increasingly feature-packed, others are bucking the trend, eschewing those features in favour of size.  The latest phones heading our way from Asia are slimming down to credit-card size.  First up is the VK Mobile VK2000, whose dimensions, according to MobileGazette.com, are a tiny 90×50x8.8mm, and which weighs only 48g. Of course, at that size, the mobile phone doesn’t exactly come feature-equipped: no camera or MP3 player, for example. But it does come with a 128×143 pixel TFT display, GPRS and a WAP 2.0 browser.

UTStarcomm G1260 smallest small mobile phone
Not to be outdone, UTStarcomm is releasing the GT1260, which, according to PCOnline, is only 106×44×10mm in size, and 60g in weight.  Even fewer features than th VK2000 with this phone, and only 120 mins talk time, but it is exceptionally small, so what were you expecting? Amusingly, although the VK2000 is smaller, UTStarcomm are using the time-honoured technique of outstanding cleavage to market their phone, which of course is way beneath the high standards adhered to by us at MobileMentalism.
