Mobile phones step back in time with new Roobarb and Custard content
With a knowing nod to thirty-somethings, Edpic and THQ have launched a variety of mobile games, wallpaper and other content aimed at nostalgic dads kids. First up is Edpic, who've released Roobarb and Custard mobile content (theme-tune, video, wallpapers, and, unfortunately, ringtone). Apparently this is aimed at kids, because apparently Channel 5 still show re-runs of the cartoon in the UK, but we know it's aimed at dads!
Next up is THQ, who've launched a mobile version of Top Trumps (think prehistoric Pokemon), with Star Wars, MotoGP, Football Legends and Gumball 3000 Supercars themes. The game can be played one-on-one using Bluetooth, or four people can play on the one handset by passing it between people. Really, kids are just spoiled these days! Best give it to the dads.
