Samsung zx10 UMTS phone


Samsung announced two high speed mobile phones at CES 2006 today. Sounding more like an early-80s home computer, the Samsung zx10 will be North America’s first commercially available UMTS phone. It features quad-band GSM, a 1.3MP camera, dual displays, audio / video recording and playback, 50MB internal storage, and microSD external storage, MP3 player, SMS, MMS and AOL, ICQ and Yahoo Instant Messaging.

The Samsung zx20 is the world’s first HSDPA handset, with dual-band HSDPA/UMTS and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE frequencies. This clamshell will feature a 1.3MP camera, dual displays, audio / video recording, playback, and streaming, Bluetooth 2.0, MPEG4 and MP3 media player, and microSD storage, as well as a variety of Instant Messaging clients.

Both the ZX10 and ZX20 are expected to be available through Cingular Wireless.
