Is this a sneak spyshot of the mythical Apple iPod phone? No, actually it’s the new Dbtel M50, which some would say takes, er, certain styling cues from the iPod!

 

The phone itself isn’t bad, although not quite what you’d expect from a phone destined for the Asian market:

But it’s the style that makes me laugh - a nice, er ‘blend’, of Apple iPod and Sony Ericsson S700i. You’ll see what I mean by checking out some other photos of the Dbtel M50 after the jump.

First thing to do with the Dbtel M50 is to play ’spot the difference’:

 

 

As mash-ups go, this is one completely non-subtle attempt! Still, for those of you wanting to pretend you have a genuine Apple iPod phone (or the ‘Mobile Me’ if recent reports are correct) months before the real one is launched (if at all), go ahead and buy the Dbtel M50 and lie blatantly. Of course, it won’t work outside Asia, but then it’s not an iPod phone either, so why should that stop you? Expect some enterprising soul to start selling them as iPod phones on EBay within a week!
