Sony Ericsson have announced that their new mobile phones will feature tight integration with Google and Google Blogger. Starting with the Sony Ericsson
K610, K800 and
K790, the new Sony Ericsson Google phones (one buzzword is enough at the moment!) provide a pre-loaded blog application with a tight integration to the mobile camera and intuitive automatic set-up for consumers who do not already have a personal blog.

Sony Ericsson have announced the Sony Ericsson K800 cameraphone - the first Sony Ericsson mobile phones to come with the respected CyberShot brand. The K800, and its sibling the Sony Ericsson K790, both feature 3.2 Megapixel digital cameras with Autofocus, Xenon flash and BestPic - Sony Ericsson’s "unique imaging technology that allows you to capture exactly the moment you desire."
More importantly, the use of Sony's world-renowned CyberShot brand, which it uses for its digital cameras, sends a clear signal that this phone is firmly at the camera end of the cameraphone spectrum.
Oh, and did I mention mobile blogging...?

Sony Ericsson have announced three new cameraphones, in addition to the Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman phone announced earlier. The three new cameraphones include the Sony Ericsson K510, K310 and Z530. Each cameraphone is aimed at the bottom end of the market, and are part of Sony Ericsson's plans to increase its market share by expanding its product range to include low end mobile phones for the first time.
That said, although the features of the new cameraphones aren't all that hot, they're still extremely respectable. All are tri-band phones with push email support, and cameras ranging from VGA to 1.3 megapixels.

Sony Ericsson have announced the new Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman phone. The W300i is a quad-band EDGE clamshell phone aimed at the lower end of the market. Its features are naturally less than the other Walkman phones in the range (only a VGA camera, for example, and smaller screen). With the launch of the Sony Ericsson W300i, the company has now achieved its aim of covering all ends of the market with Walkman phones. No less than seven Walkman phones are now on offer, from the top-end 3G Sony Ericsson W950i down to the Sony Ericsson W300i. Seems the Walkman brand still had some life in it after all!

The Sony Ericsson W800i is the first in the company's series of Walkman phones: new mobile phones designed to offer quality music playing capabilities on top of the usual mobile phone features (which currently seems to be everything capable of using electricity!)
This is the Sony Ericsson W530i, or as it's currently known, the Sony Ericsson Jing. It's not been released yet, and won't be announced until tomorrow, but leaked photos have ermeged showing us all what it looks like anyway.
The new Sony Ericsson phone is the first clamshell Walkman phone the company have made, and will also be available in a non-Walkman form too.

Find out which of Sony Ericsson's 2006 mobile phone line up will be announced next week after the jump.

Leaked pictures of a new Sony Ericsson K800i have emerged, which the company isn't expected to announce until next week. The Sony Ericsson K800i will be the successor to the successful K750i, and features a large screen and 3.2 megapixel camera.

NTT DoCoMo have announced that a prototype phone has achieved data transfer speeds of 2.5Gbps whilst travelling at 20kph. This is insane! 3G never offered the data rates we were led to believe (which was OK, 'cos we didn't really believe them!). Recently, HSDPA, or 'Super3G' technology has been making news with data transfer speeds of 3.6Mbps (and a theoretical maximum of 14.4Mbps). But this new 4G technology from DoCoMo simply brings tears to the eyes!
Back in 1998, I worked on a European telecoms project that tried to marry ATM with GSM (or a 622Mbps channel to a 9.6kbps channel!). Transferring data over mobile back then was like trying to pump out a lake with a straw. But 2.5Gbps!! This changes everything! Suddenly, mobile servers and true global ubiquitous mobile P2P networks seem a very real possibility.

This may be a new Nokia iTunes phone. Yes, that's right: the image shows the new Nokia N80i...with the i standing for iTunes. If this image has any hint of reliability about it, the next iTunes phone will not be from Apple, but from Nokia instead...and Apple seem to be stoking the rumours!
