The Motorola RAZR V3c updates the original RAZR V3, adding brand new features and bringing the RAZR up to the mobile phone standard we've come to expect. The original RAZR had relatively few features, but Motorola saw the light and endowed the RAZR V3C with 3G and a better camera over the original RAZR V3.

Pictures of new Nokia fourth generation mobiles have surfaced from design studio Ideosyncrasy. The theme behind Nokia's prototypes is to have "...a different means of accessing and managing information through different peripherals..." Different is certainly the right term - these concept phones are as far removed from current mobile phones as you can get.

Telecoms analyst VisionGain reports that it believes Apple will definitely be releasing an iPhone this year, most probably through new US MVNO Helio. "The odds are extremely good that Apple will launch an iPhone this spring in tandem with Helio's launch in the US," says Pam Duffey, telecoms analyst at VisionGain.
This Spring....that gives Apple two months. Can they deliver in two months? My guess is no - Apple will announce the iPhone this spring, but not release it until the autumn. Only a guess of course, but just as good a one as VisionGain's, I reckon!

Mobile phones seem to be going all retro. The other day we posted Alcatel's new OT-C850, which bore more than a passing resemblance to an early-80s handheld games machine. Now we have news of Mitsubishi's new Music Porter X, which seems like it wants to be a MiniMoog when it grows up!

Samsung have released the Samsung SPH-S4300 mobile phone. Taking its cue from the iPod Nano, the SPH-S4300 is an MP3 player first and foremost that just happens to have mobile phone functionality. Few details at this stage, other than it can play MP3, OGG and WMA files, comes with 1GB of memory and a USB port, and clearly looks far more like an MP3 player than a mobile phone.

This is the new Toshiba W43T LISMO mobile phone, developed for Japanese mobile phone operator AU. Japanese mobile phones are almost as technologically-superior as Korean phones, and the W43T is no exception. Not content with a 3 megapixel camera (or "323 ten thousand pixel camera" according to Google's translation!), Toshiba have endowed the W43T with GPS. And not just any GPS, either: the W43T displays your current location as a 3D map that moves in real time as you do!

The next advance in ringtones could be the BrainTone - a set of frequencies that quite literally hack your brain, making you feel a specific sensation just by listening to the tone. Called entrainment, the technique modifies the electrical activity in your brain through specific sounds that mimic the electrical activity (in the form of soundwaves) associated with certain mental states.

Leaked pictures have emerged of the Nokia N93 and N73, two new, as yet unannounced Nokia N-Series phones. The N73 is an updated version of the Nokia N70, and will come with a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and autofocus, Bluetooth 2.0 and stereo speakers.
