Pictures of Pantech Prototype Concept Phones
Mobile Phones?

Pantech have released pictures of seven new prototype concept phones that show where the company's mobile phone design is heading. Pantech aren't that well known outside their native Korea yet, but they're planning on making a big push this year into overseas territories. Better still, the company makes some technologically-superb mobile phones, featuring such wonders as 5+ megapixel cameraphones, mobile TV, and wacky Optimus Prime-like transformer phones.
See pictures of the new Pantech Prototype Concept Phones after the jump. There's even a new Galvatron phone!

The Pantech Libro Concept Phone
The Pantech Libro concept phone is a DMB mobile TV phone with a slider format. When closed, the mobile phone looks like a PMP, letting you watch TV without a cumbersome mobile phone keypad getting in the way.
The Pantech Cancro Concept Phone
The Pantech Cancro Concept Phone is another DMB mobile TV phone that apparently comes with a 'cinema scale LCD layout'. Presumably this doesn't mean the Pantech Cancro has the same scale as a cinema, but who knows what new features the handset manufacturers will come up with! Not sure what the 'Keyhole standing' refers to, either!
The Pantech Galvatron Concept Phone
Ah, this is more like it! Pantech have already given us the Optimus Prime transformer-phone, so it's only natural they'd produce Galvatron as well! Another mobile TV phone, this one looks a bit stylish as well.
The Pantech Echo Concept Phone
The Pantech Echo Concept Phone is a mobile music phone that, er, echos things back to you (come on, work with me here!). It has a camera as well.
The Pantech Muse Concept Phone
Ah, now you're talking! The Pantech Muse Concept Phone is another mobile music phone, but this one really looks the biz. Of all the Pantech concept phones, this one looks the best by far.
The Pantech PhoneTheater Portable Music Playing System
Not a mobile phone, but a portable music playing system. Just pop your mobile phone into the slot, and instant music will be yours (so long as your mobile phone can play music!)
The Pantech Muse Concept Phone
Finally, we have the The Pantech Muse concept phone, another mobile music phone that looks a bit bland for a concept phone.
So there you have it: seven new designs from Pantech to show what their designers are thinking of for the future. I've always thought Pantech's designs are either hit or miss: they either look great, or supremely weird! Although not as far out as some of BenQ-Siemens' recent mobile concept phones, at least they show that Pantech has vision.
