CeBIT 2006: Giga-Byte to demo 7 megapixel mobile phone

Giga-Byte is to demo some amazing new mobile phone at CeBIT 2006, including the Giga-Byte g-Cam, a mobile phone with 7 megapixels. Also from the company will a mobile phone with GPS and “SOS security functions”, and a mobile phone that bucks the mobile TV trend by featuring analog TV reception.

Giga-Byte Mobile Phones at CeBIT 2006
At CeBIT 2006, Giga-Byte is proudly presenting products from both its PDA phone and feature phone families. From the PDA phone family, g-Smart is the world’s first PPC phone with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU2 as its operating system. g-Smart combines PDA and phone into one compact slide design, and offers Direct Push and analog TV as well as Office tools, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. g-Smart i is the second generation to g-Smart and is smaller and lighter with a pure PDA look for the all-PDA lovers.
From the feature phone family, Giga-Byte presents g-re, g-Cam, & g-YoYo. g-re is the first mobile phone with built-in plug-and-play content and language learning tools on SD card, making learning as easy as it can be. g-Cam is the first 7 megapixel camera phone, which successfully integrates a digital camera with mobile phone. g-YoYo is built-in with GPS and SOS security functions, completing this phone as a comprehensive mobile guide to cuisine and fun places to go to.
Note that the g-Cam is actually a 5 megapixel camera, with the 7 megapixels coming from “digital emulation”.
