Apple iPhone “75% certain” to be released in 2006
Apple may release its much-rumoured Apple iPhone "within the next 12 months", according to analyst PiperJaffray. Speaking to clients in a brief research note on Wednesday, analyst Gene Munster said "...we believe Apple will benefit from the new Intel-based Macs, along with what we estimate to be a 75 percent chance of a iPhone in the next 12 months."
Rumours of Apple releasing an iPod phone have been circulating for some time now, and although Piper Jaffray have no definite inside information, they're clearly fairly positive about the release of an iPhone later in the year, and told their clients they would be buyers of Apple's shares.
Still, if Apple don't release an official iPhone, you can always buy one of the many Apple iPhone clones on display at CeBIT 2006 last week.
