Lego have opened up their Lego Mindstorms NXT range, releasing the source code and Bluetooth specifications that will let you use your mobile phone to control your creations. Lego’s decision will expose millions of kids to the concept of open source software, thereby making Lego an even greater force for good than it is already. If Lego fired the creative curiousity of last century’s engineers, this century they’re set to do the same for our software engineers.
