Samsung’s range of world’s slimmest phones

Samsung is to launch the Samsung X820, its World's slimmest phone first announced last month. The Samsung X820 is just 6.9mm thick (the same thickness as an iPod Nano), and will be launched tomorrow (May 9th) at the information and technology communications fair 'Sviaz ExpoComm 2006' in Moscow.
More pictures and details of Samsung's World's slimmest phones after the jump.
The X820 isn't the only "world's slimmest" in Samsung's arsenal, though. They also boast the world's slimmest slider (the Samsung SCH-V890/SPH-V8900, 13.8mm); the slimmest WCDMA phone (the Samsung SGH-Z150, 9.8mm, below); and the slimmest smartphone (the Samsung SGH-i320, bottom).
Oh, and don't forget their credit-card phone, the Samsung SGH-P300 (8.9mm), which isn't the slimmest phone, but being credit-card sized, is hardly likely to put a bulge in your pocket.
The culprit for all of this slimness is Motorola, whose RAZR outsold many other Korean phones in their market through its sleek looks rather than its features. The Korean companies raced to beat its size, thereby starting the race to slimness, while Motorola simply gave its new RAZRs a lick of paint, and made them, er, thicker! The RAZR is now looking positively lardy, and really needs replacing soon if Motorola want to continue with its success.
