NEC 902iS phone features image search engine

NEC have released the NEC 902iS, a new mobile phone that offers a nifty image search engine feature. Take a photo with the 902iS’s impressive 4 megapixel camera, and send the image to a search engine called “Evolution Robotics”.
The search engine performs all sorts of fancy pattern recognition on the image, before informing the user whether the object in the image is stored in its database or not.
Presumably the user gets back more than a message saying “yes, that object is in our database”, but exactly what this feature can be used for is currently unclear!
