Sony Ericsson Z550i mobile phone
Sony Ericsson have announced the new Sony Ericsson Z550i, a mid-range mobile phone with a fair feature set. The Z550i is a tri-band GPRS clamshell phone with 1.3 megapixel camera, 20MB of storage (upgradeable to 1GB), MP3 player, and, er, that’s it! Sony Ericsson see the new Z550i as taking over from the “iconic” T610.

Not sure who gave Sony Ericsson a poke, but they’ve obviously been busy lately!

Finding shots once you’ve stored them is child’s play with the new thumbnail gallery feature. This allows you to search your images both visually and according to the date they were taken with multiple thumbnail images being shown on the 262k sharp colour screen.

The Z550 connects easily to a PC for fast transfer of multimedia files and synchronisation with your phone book and calendar. The phone also has full HTML internet browsing and optional Bluetooth™ headset and car-handsfree kit for wireless freedom on the move.

The Sony Ericsson Z550 is a GPRS clamshell camera phone available in Sterling Black or Pearl Copper. The Sony Ericsson Z550 release date is Q3 2006.
