BenQ-Siemens have launched the BenQ-Siemens AL26 - complete with Hello Kitty livery.  Aimed at "girls and young women" (surprisingly!), the AL26 is a low-end mobile phone with little in the way of features other than a 65k colour TFT screen and polyphonic ringtones.

Somehow, though, I don't think features are going to be the main selling point of this phone!

Hello Kitty is a hugely popular brand in its right, with collectors buying anything and everything that features it.

So, if Hello Kitty's your thing, the BenQ-Siemens AL26 is your phone. Fortunately for me, and any self-respect I might have left, it's not :)
