NEC N702is with real-time sloshing liquid

Motion detectors in mobile phones seem to be suddenly all the range, yet nobody seems to know quite what to do with them. Samsung, for example, have used theirs in the SCH-B570 to switch off its alarm clock. Novel, but hardly revolutionary.
Now NEC have come up with something equally useless, yet visuall stunningy - a battery level indicator rendered as a liquid that actually sloshes around as you move the phone.

Staying perfectly horizontal when you hold the phone upright, the liquid will slosh left and right as you move the phone, with the level relfecting the battery charge remaining. Useless, but utterly compelling!
The phone itself is a bit bland looking, so arguably could use something novel to spice it up, but real-time, moving, sloshing liquid? Genius! Shame it's destined only for Japan via NTT DoCoMo.
