Well, maybe not - but Nokia have announced that they will be giving their mobile phones proper names from 2007. So while we may not see the Nokia Brian, Nokia Britney, or my personal favourite, the Nokia Nigel any time soon, we should at least see a new naming scheme that will make Nokia phones easier to remember.

Apparently, people are too confused by the random numbering system Nokia currently use when naming its myriad selection of phones. Wonder how many focus groups it took them to work this out?!

And could this be why Motorola call their phones after vowel-depleted words? After all, "RAZR" is certainly easier to remember than "6085". Maybe Samsung should give it a go? Can you tell your Samsung SCH-V850 from your SCH-B490?!
