Nokia are working on the Nokia 880 and Nokia 870, two new Internet Tablets to replace the existing Nokia 770 that the company released last year. This is a leaked pic of the Nokia 880, gleaned from the FCC's web site, but unfortunately, no other details are yet known. Still, it shows that Nokia are committed to the Internet Tablet concept, so presumably it found a market somewhere, despite widespread doubts about its viability.

Nokia may be about to announce a new Nokia E90 Communicator. Nokia's communicator range is a series of smartphones with reasonably large QWERTY keyboards. They've been around for a while now, and have always seemed a bit cumbersome. Great as a PDA-like device, but not so good as a mobile phone.
Nokia's new E90 doesn't seem set to change any of that, if this leaked sketch is anything to go by, as it features exactly the same form factor.

LG's camera phones are set to get a lot more sophisticated with the announcement that they've partnered with Germany's Schneider-Kreuznach to include the German company's world-leading camera lenses in their forthcoming range of camera phones.
With Sony Ericsson mobile phones using Sony's CyberShot technology and Nokia's N-series using Carl Zeiss lenses, LG had to do something to improve the quality of the photos its cameraphones are capable of producing.
Samsung have released the Samsung A707 mobile music phone through Cingular in the States. For US readers fed up with seeing stunning Korean mobile phones staying in Korea, Samsung's decision should bring to joy to the technologically frustrated!
OK, it's not got a 10 megapixel camera or mobile TV with PVR features, but it does come with HSDPA for super-speedy downloads of tunes of your choice.

Samsung, the world's third largest mobile phone manufacturer, have announced the Samsung EW-700, a mobile phone that's not.
More specifically, the EW-700 features everything most mobile phones do, except the ability to connect to mobile phone networks. Instead, the EW-700 harnesses WiFi to offer full VoIP connectivity whenever you're near a WiFi hotspot, but omits the seemingly essential GSM/3G connectivity normally expected of a mobile phone.

LG have been showing off the LG Shine, a new LG phone in its Black Label (i.e. posh) series of mobile phones.
Just as the LG Chocolate phones were design-focused, so too is the LG Shine, with the emphasis firmly on the materials used on the outside of the phone.
In particular, the Shine is made completely of metal, and comes with a mirror LCD on the front that looks, quite literally, like a mirror when not displaying anything (hence the term 'shine').

KTFT have launched a new mobile TV phone that's not only tiny, but also can split the screen in two, with the TV shown in the top half, and the standard user interface shown in the bottom. The purpose of this nifty technological feat, is to let you use the phone's user interface whithout missing your favourite TV programme.

The Sony Ericsson W810i is another of Sony Ericsson's famed Walkman phones, and although it's only an incremental update from the W800i, most Sony Ericsson W810i reviews from across the web rate it very highly.
As a Walkman phone, the W810i's features are focused mostly on music. This is evident both on the outside of the phone, with dedicated music keys, and the inside, with easy to use playlists and tune down loading software. The sound quality of the W810i is also very high (which you'd expect from any gadget badged by Sony as a Walkman).
Being a Sony Ericsson phone, though, the W810i doesn't just end with music. The W810i also features a 2 megapixel camera, email, EDGE, quad-badn connectivity and a host of other features. As a good looking mid-range mobile phone, now being discounted heavily, the Sony Ericsson W810i is a great buy for Christmas 2006.

With most new products, a list of "the best 40 fakes of [insert overhyped-product here]" would merit a single post at most, but with Apple's iPhone, you get a whole blog devoted to such fakes.
So much hype surrounds Apple's forthcoming iPhone that Okan Vardarova decided to create a blog showcasing the best photoshopped 'concept iPhones' (aka fakes) that have been created by Apple FanBoys worldwide. He's already compiled 40 fake pics!
New ones are added every day, apparently (are there that many fakes really being generated? Just checked my archives, and yup, seems there are!). Let's just hope the real iPhone looks at least as good as the fakes, else there'll be a lot of disappointed FanBoys out there when the iPhone finally drops.

LG have announced the new LG KB6100 mobile TV phone, complete with nifty PVR-like functionality. You can not only watch TV on your new LG phone (T-DMB standard), you can also record it directly onto the phone, and either replay it on the phone later, or hook it up to a PC via USB and watch your favourite TV show on your PC's monitor.
