New Sharp 905SH Cycloid Mobile TV Phone
Just when you thought you'd seen all forms of mobile phone twistiness, Sharp throws a surprise witht he new Sharp 905SH mobile TV phone, which features a new Cycloid design. Looking like a normal clamshell when closed, the Sharp phone can spin its screen 90 degrees horizontally while closed, then flip up clamshell-style to reveal a large and glorious screen ready for mobile TV viewing.

Featuring W-CDMA, the Sharp 905SH comes with a 2.6 inch widescreen TV (16:9 aspect ratio) with a huge resolution of 400 × 240 pixels, 2 megapixel camera, mini SD memory card, and supports Vodafone live! Felica, Vodafone live! CAST (3G services) and Bluetooth chat.
Being a Sharp phone, the display is superb. Not only is it huge for a mobile phone, it also uses Sharp' ASV LCD technology, which is based on the same technology (Advanced Super Wiev) that Sharp uses in its AQUOS line of LCD TVs.
This enables the LCD screen to be seen from wide angles for better viewing, and provides 6 colour filter technology to enable the screen to be seen easily even in strong daylight conditions.
Not sure what advantage being able to swivel the screen whilst its closed gives you, but it'll certainly make your mates go "Wow!" At least, it will if you have any Japanese mates, as unfortunately the Sharp 905SH Cycloid phone is destined for Japanese markets only.
