Pictures of new LG Shine Black Label phone

LG have been showing off the LG Shine, a new LG phone in its Black Label (i.e. posh) series of mobile phones.
Just as the LG Chocolate phones were design-focused, so too is the LG Shine, with the emphasis firmly on the materials used on the outside of the phone.
In particular, the Shine is made completely of metal, and comes with a mirror LCD on the front that looks, quite literally, like a mirror when not displaying anything (hence the term 'shine').
More details and pictures of the LG Shine mobile phone after the jump.
LG Shine

Unlike other mobile phones that are plated with metal, the LG Shine is completely made out of the stuff. This may not, at first, seem such a big deal, until you realize that metal is a big problem for transmitting radio waves.
In other words, build a phone entirely out of metal, and you lose all connectivity. Not the best feature a mobile can offer!
LG have got round this, though, with a new patented algorithm called 'tango' that enhances the connection quality.
The result is a glorious looking phone, using materials previously thought impossible for use in a mobile phone. Whether anyone will want a phone with these materials is another question, but it shows the innovation that's going on at all levels by the mobile phone manufacturers.

To help the Shine to, er, shine, LG will be promoting it heavily using the numbers 74463, which apparently represent the key pad numbers for S, H, I, N and E (which, of course, everyone knows!)

The LG Shine is a great looking phone, will be released worldwide, and comes with 2 megapixel camera and 1GB of internal memory. If the success of LG's Chocolate range is anything to go by, they'll have another huge hit on their hands with the LG Shine. Look out for it in stores soon, in three varieties: the LG-SV420, LG-KV4200 and LG-LV4200.
