Sneak peek of Samsung SGH-i520 Smartphone

Samsung are about to unveil their new Samsung SGH-i520, another smartphone form the maker of millions of mobiles (well, they release over 100 a year anyway!).

Details are limited at the moment, but it’s most definitely a mobile phone rather than a full PDA, featuring only standard mobile phone buttons rather than a full QWERTY keyboard like its recently-released sibling, the Samsung SGH-i760.

More details and pictures of the Samsung SGH-i520 smartphone after the jump.

Leaked Pictures of new Samsung SGH-i760 smartphone

This is the forthcoming Samsung SGH-i760 smartphone. Looking more like a (slightly large) mobile phone than a PDA, the i760 is a fully featured smartphone complete with full QWERTY keyboard that slides down. Based on Winows Mobile 5.0, the i760 is as feature-packed as you’d expect from a Samsung phone (apart from the camera, which is only 2 megapixels rather than the 10 megapixel monster Samsung recently announced).

Nokia to add RFID and WiMAX by 2008

Nokia’s R&D have certainly been busy lately. Not content with developing the stunning Nokia Aeon concept phone, they’ve also completed their SmartPosters technology, which enables NFC-compatible mobile phones to read data from passive RFID-like NFC tags. Nokia intend to embed such tags in posters, which would send data to the mobile phone when the phone is waved over it like a wand.

Samsung SCH-B600 10 megapixel camera phone – just add laser sights!

Samsung have finally released their new Samsung SCH-B600, a mobile phone so packed full of features it makes the Nokia N95 look like an old brick (well, not quite!). We first saw the SCH-B600 at CeBIT in March 2006, and were amazed by its incredible 10 megapixel camera, complete with 3x optical zoom, autofocus and a proper flash unit that’s optimized for a 10 megapixel camera.

More than just a gimmick, it seems Samsung really mean business with the camera on the SCH-B600, and are prepared to challenge Sony Ericsson’s latesty CyberShot phones head on.

This phone knows the Rhythms of Ladies

We’ve mentioned the niftily-named NTT DoCoMo FOMA D702iF mobile phone before, commenting on how its shape seemed to offer women more than just the colour pink. Turns out the D702iF is more in-tune with women than we thought though, as the D702iF actually knows “the rhythms of ladies.”

Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition

Nokia 5500 sport mobile music phone

Nokia have announced the new Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition. Well, not exactly new, more just a Nokia 5500 Sport with enhanced music features. This follows on from Nokia’s recent expanded push into the mobile music market, with its enhanced N91, N73 and N70 mobile phones that featured new music features and expanded storage, plus its new Nokia 5200, 5300 and 3250 mobile music phones. Nokia are clearly feeling the music at the moment!

So what have they added to the Nokia 5500? Well, a 512 MB microSD card (for storing 375 tunes), a fitness carrying strap, bicycle holder and sports headset packed in a “new energetic color.” Ah, not much then! It does look great, though, and if you were interested in the 5500 before, you’ll really love the new model.

Samsung D900 Review

The Samsung D900 currently takes the honours for the world’s thinnest slider phone, at just 12.9mm thin.

Despite its slimness, it’s not exactly feature-light, though. Top of the list comes the 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, closely followed by a great QVGA screen, MP3 player, TV Out, support for microSD cards, and GPRS, EDGE class 10 and Bluetooth connectivity.

As the following Samsung D900 Review shows, the phone is a great looking, slick super-thin phone with loads of features, and which really has the wow factor. It’s not every mobile phone that squeezes a 3 megapixel camera into a device less than 13mm thin!
