Sony Ericsson may be working on a new 3.2 megapixel Sony Ericsson K620i. The new phone is rumoured to be an upgrade of the existing Sony Ericsson K610i, which itself is no lightweight phone.

The old K610i comes a 3G phone with video recording, email client, MP3 player and all the usual features you'd expect.

The rumoured K620i adds to this with a 3.2 megapixel camera (no word yet on whether it'll be branded a CyberShot phone or not) and 100MB of storage.

Sony Ericsson K620i - fake or the real deal?

Whether or not it's a real phone coming our way or a fake is hard to tell at the moment. The phone in the picture clearly says K620i, but the original pic shows a shadow that reads K610i, which immediately starts the fake radar buzzing. But then, it's features aren't so outlandish as to render it unbelievable.

My guess? Sony Ericsson will release a phone very much like this in 2007. The only questions are whether they'll call it the K620i or not (and who cares about a name?!), and whether it looks like this. But then, given that most of Sony Ericsson's camera phones have looked something like this for the past year or so, it probably will!
