KTFT borrows iPhone’s accelerometer
Apple’s not the only one who can build fancy motion-detecting mobile phones.
Korean mobile firm KTFT have announced their own in the form of the EVER 360 (EV-KD370), which uses its motion sensor to switch the phone’s orientation from portrait to landscape, depending on which way up the phone is held – just like the iPhone.
LG SB190 budget SatNav phone
LG have announced the LG SB190 SatNav phone. Through absolutely no coincidence whatsoever, LG’s launch comes months before Nokia release their own SatNav phone in the form of the Nokia N95, which is sure to generate a huge amount of interest.
LG seem to be making a habit of pre-empting their rivals at the moment, as they recently announced their new LG KE850 Prada phone, which looks like an iPhone, but will beat it to market by a good six months.
Video of LG Shine

The new LG Shine phone is the company’s second generation of its glorious-looking Black Label designer phones (the LG Chocolate phones were part of the first generation). Pictures of the LG Shine show it’s another great looking designer phone from LG – but it looks even better in video. Should be released soon, and a review will follow.

Leaked pictures of the 3G Motorola RIZR Z8 and KRZR K3
Leaked pictures have emerged of two new Motorola phones. Well, I say new – basically they’re the existing Motorola KRZR and RIZR, but with 3G bolted on.
The new Motorola MOTOKRZR (left) will be called the KRZR K3, while the MOTORIZR will be called the RIZR Z8.
Both will come with a 2 megapixel camera, but other than that (and the addition of a front mounted video camera for those 3G video-calls that no-one ever makes), no more details are known as yet.
Still, should make Motorola’s phones more up-to-date (if, by ‘up-to-date’, you mean late 2005!)

Samsung VLUU i70 camera a better phone than the iPhone
You’d expect Samsung’s response to the iPhone to be one of bravado, huffily claiming that their phones are much better than Apple’s. But you wouldn’t expect them to roll out a camera that beats the iPhone for features!
Enter the new Samsung VLUU i70 – a 7.2 megapixel camera phone with 15x optical zoom that comes complete with HSDPA connectivity and a raft of other features…but, er, no ability to make phone calls!
Leaked pics of Google Switch – the new Google phone?
Interesting new pics have been photoshopped leaked of what’s being called the Google Switch – the mythical Google Phone. Details are sparse at the moment, but it’s rumoured to include GPS for automatic navigation using Google Maps, GTalk and GMail, and no onboard-storage.
What – no storage? Yup, the Google phone will pull all your apps and info down from a server.
LG KE850 Prada Phone no better than the iPhone
LG have finally come clean on the LG KE850 Prada phone and its specs – and it ain’t good! It’s already been mentioned how much the LG KE850 and the iPhone seem to share – same form factor, touchscreen interface, similiar look and feel, etc. – and now, it seems they also share the same array of rather limp features!

Want to know how similar the two phones are to each other? Well, watch the videos, and compare and contrast :)
Leaked pictures of Nokia E61i smartphone
Leaked pictures have emerged of Nokia’s forthcoming Nokia E61i smartphone. The E61i is a business-phone at heart, and will be a replacement for the existing Nokia E61. This begs the question of what you get for the extra i on the end? Well, plenty, as it happens.

LG’s response to the iPhone: you copied us you buggers!
Seems every handset manufacturer has been asked for their response to Apple’s iPhone. LG’s the latest, but rather than shrugging their shoulders and mumbling “it’s alright, I s’pose” in a teenaged way, they’ve pointed out that the iPhone does in fact bear close resemblance to their own forthcoming LG KE850 Prada phone.
As these pictures show, they do indeed seem to have a point. First noted by Engadget, the LG Prada is a touchscreen phone with a huge display and just 3 buttons at the bottom (as opposed to the single button on the iPhone). More interesting, though, is that even the interface is strikingly similar.
