LG SB190 SatNav mobile phone

LG have announced the LG SB190 SatNav phone. Through absolutely no coincidence whatsoever, LG's launch comes months before Nokia release their own SatNav phone in the form of the Nokia N95, which is sure to generate a huge amount of interest.

LG seem to be making a habit of pre-empting their rivals at the moment, as they recently announced their new LG KE850 Prada phone, which looks like an iPhone, but will beat it to market by a good six months.

Whereas the Nokia is a fully tricked-out beast of a phone, with WiFi, HSDPA, 5 megapixel camera and full-sized DVD recorder (ok, so I made that last bit up!), the LG SB190 has only a 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3 player, and, um, a map!

That said, it won't cost as much as the N95, so will be less painful when you have it nicked while walking around town staring at it looking completely lost! And to be fair to it, it can also be used as a proper SatNav when driving, as it features information such as ‘Safe driving helper’ service, which notifies frequent accident areas and speed limit areas in advance, traffic congestion information, navigation service for pedestrians, and, crucially, " introduction of famous restaurants"!

Destined for Korea only, worse luck, priced KRW 400,000.
