KTFT EV-KD370 mobile phone

Apple's not the only one who can build fancy motion-detecting mobile phones.

Korean mobile firm KTFT have announced their own in the form of the EVER 360 (EV-KD370), which uses its motion sensor to switch the phone's orientation from portrait to landscape, depending on which way up the phone is held - just like the iPhone.

However, whereas the iPhone switches the orientation of its web browser, the EV-KD370 ups the technological ante by switching the orientation of its mobile TV display when you turn it round. Yes, this being a Korean phone, it naturally comes with mobile TV, and automatically re-orienting the picture according to the position of the phone makes perfect ergonomic sense.

KTFT didn't just stop with mobile TV with their phone's accelerometer, though. You can also change the MP3 track you're playing simply by shaking the phone. Of course, this sort of prevents the phone from being used as an MO3 player when out walking (or at least jogging), but then it's not meant to be a sports phone,

Interesting to see the various different iPhone innovations already making their way onto competing phones. Regardless of how well the iPhone does, it certainly seems to have shaken up the mobile phone industry, even before it's released!
