Not content with a SatNav phone and mobile TV phone, Nokia have also announced not one, but three new business phones at 3GSM. The Nokia E61i is an updated version of its existing E60 BlackBerry clone, featuring a 2 megapixel camera (something that the E60 deliberately lacked); the Nokia E65 is a more traditional business phone, utilizing the slider form factor; and the Nokia E90 is a brand new Communicator, offering a raft of tasty features such as 3.2 megapixel camera and HSDPA.
Seems Nokia have been busy at 3GSM this year. They've just announced the new Nokia N77 mobile TV phone. Not quite such a technological tour de force as some of the other N-Series phones we've seen in the past, but the N77 is remarkably low priced for an N-Series phone - just 370 Euros.

Nokia have announced the Nokia 6110 Navigator GPS phone at this year's 3GSM congerence. The 6110 Navigator is the same as an existing Nokia 6110, but with the addition of SatNav functionality via a built-in GPS unit.
The new 6110 Navigator is an interesting proposition from Nokia: it sports all the features you'd expect from an N-Series phone, but in a mid-range "mass-market" offering.

Sony Ericsson have obviously been busy in the run-up to next week's 3GSM conference, and have announced the new Sony Ericsson K810i and K550i CyberShot phones in addition to the two Walkman phones discussed announced earlier.
The K810i is the more accomplished of the two, featuring a 3.2 megapixel lens and xenon flash over the K550i's 2 megapixel lens and LED flash.
Both are extremely competent phones, but there's still a wow factor missing...

Sony Ericsson have announced the new Sony Ericsson W610i Walkman phone, which is extremely similar to the W880i, Sony Ericsson's other new Walkman phone it announced this week.
For example, the W610i offers only half the storage capacity of the W880i (521MB rather than 1GB), but it does come with a 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus (whereas the W880i has no auto-focus).
Indeed, such is the similarity of the two phones, you wonder why Sony Ericsson felt the need to create two devices in the first place.

Rumours
Mmmmm, don't you just love juicy rumour?
We're all bored of the Apple iPhone now that it's finally emerged from the (not particulalry dark) shadows, and although the Google phone is starting to garner a little interest, there's still not enough known about it or Google's presumed intentions to make for interesting reading...yet!
However, another new rumour has just jumped straight into the limelight: Microsoft are set to go head to head with the iPhone with a new Microsoft Zune phone!

Sony Ericsson have today announced the much anticipated Sony Ericsson W880i.
The new super-thin Walkman phone has been the subject of much gossip for some time, with various leaked shots of it featuring almost every week.
Indeed, if it wasn't for that other mobile phone, the W880i (or 'Ai', as it was codenamed) would have been the only thing worth talking about so far this year!

A million and one Chinese companies cloned Apple's iPod, using the same form factor in competing MP3 players and mobile phones. It was inevitable, therefore, that a raft of iPhone clones would emerge shortly after the real iPhone's announcement, but I don't think anyone was expecting them to come out quite so soon!

What do you when you've spent three years developing a new waterproof phone and want to show it off to the world with maximum publicity? Simple: throw it in the bath along with a scantily clad model, and watch the blogosphere light up! We at MobileMentalism would of course nevre be party to such cynical marketing!
Oh yeh, the phone. It's a Fujitsu FOMA F703i. It works under water. Er....!

Unconfirmed news reaches us that the Sony Ericsson W880i release date will be February 23rd 2007 in the UK, priced £300. For the price, you also get a 1GB M2 card. The news is unconfirmed, but it's highly likely, as the 23rd February is just 8 days after the end of the 3GSM mobile phone conference, where Sony Ericsson will be officially launching the W880i.
So for those of you who can't wait to get your hands on Sony Ericsson's new super-slim super-cool Walkman phone, not too much longer now (that is, assuming you've saved up enough to buy one!)
