CeBIT 2007: Video preview of the Samsung Ultra Smart F700

One of the hottest smartphones to be shown at CES this year was the Samsung Ultra Smart F700 smartphone. However, although on display, it was strictly a look but don't touch affair - the F700 was kept firmly behind glass.
At this yea'rs CeBIT, though, things are a little more open, and SlashGear have managed to get their greasy hands on one.
See the video of the Samsung Ultra Smart F700 preview after the jump.
First, the specs. The F700 is a smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out from the full length of the of the phone's body. Being a Samsung smartphone, it comes with one or two features that absolutely trounce the opposition. Where other smartphones come with a 2 megapixel camera, for example, the F700 comes with a 5 megapixel monster.
Touchscreen phones are all the rage this year, and the F700 is no exception, but it also comes with tactile feedback: touch a virtual key or icon on the screen, and the phine vibrates slightly, letting you 'feel' the key as if it were real.
What we really want to see, though, is the phone actually working - and as you'll see from the video, we don't exactly get to see it in what you'd call action! As Vincent from SlashGear explains, the most likely explanation for the lack of life from the F700 was a flat battery, but watching him and the Samsung rep trying to work out what's wrong is well worth a look in its own right!

Still, the F700 definitely is on show at CeBIT 2007, so we'll bring you the latest videos of the F700 hopefully working as soon as they're posted.
Oh, and the video itself? Here it is...enjoy :)
