Dark Label Retroxis concept phone
I love concept phones, and the Dark Label Retroxis from designer Lim Sze Tat must come with the best sounding name for a phone of all time. “I am The Mighty Retroxis – cower beneath me mortals!!” you can imagine it crying (or is that just me? Probably not enough sleep again!).

The proposed specs (yes, proposed, it’s a concept phone, remember, and not a real phone) are quite low – OLED display, 2 megapixel camera and MP3 player. Really, if you’ve got a concept phone and you can invent whatever specs you like, at least cram it full of super-high-powered invented specs!

More details of the Dark Label Retroxis concept phone after the jump.

In case you can’t read the text on the image, it says the following:

“As far as mobile phones are concerned, there are certain inevitable desires such as dimensions, weight and style. Retroxis reflects a retro approach towards design with clean aesthetics, optimum controls and functions. It is encased in high polished polycarbonate renowned for its lightweght and toughness and the invisible OLED display silently hides away when inactive to make your phone look clean and stylish.”

Oh come on, let’s add a 10 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, full GPS Sat-Nav functionality, 60GB iVDR hard drive and MP3/video player and recorder into the mix as well. If you’re going to invent specs, invent some good ones!

Lim Sze Tat has also designed a concept watch, but you can check that out at Yanko Design’s site.
