More pictures of the Sony Ericsson P700i smartphone
The Sony Ericsson P700i smartphone is really starting to take shape, and should be announced very soon (indeed, one enterprising Chillean individual has already started selling one on EBay - though whether it's the real deal or a mock-up is open to question).
As you can see form these pics, the one thing that hits you about the P700i is its size - smart it may be, but it'll certainly not put a bulge in your pockets.

The big question mark over the P700i is its keypad. Unlike the existing P990i, which features a full (if extremely small) QWERTY keypad, the P700i features the same keypad used for the M600i that it replaces. You still get QWERTY buttons, but now each button shares two characters. You push the button left for one character and right for another (see the pic below to compare the two types of keypad). Quite how useful this will be in real life remains to be seen, but at least the P700i also comes with handwriting recognition via a touchscreen and stylus.
