Sticking with the Nokia N95 for a moment, it seems Nokia have made a few tweaks to the phone’s firmware. The majority of tweaks make the phone much more stable and faster to use, but one or two of the tweaks should be of real benefit, providing enhanced photos and sharper videos with less noise.

The new firmware is version 11.0.0.26, and details on what it offers and how to get it can be found after the jump.

Some of the enhancements in the new N95 firmware include:

  • Video recording starts faster
  • Video stabilization improvements
  • Exposure improved
  • Video sharpness and noise improved
  • Improvements in images visibility in browser
  • General stability improvements for browser
  • Refreshing web page functionality improvements
  • WLAN stability improvements
  • Stability improvements to BT connectivity
  • USB stability improvements
  • General stability improvements
  • Maps stability improvements
  • Barcode reader icon changed

The most impressive improvement, though, is with the camera, with pictures now appearing much brighter and clearer than before.

A complete list of improvements plus comparison pictures taken with the new firmware and the old, can be found over at Symbian Freak, where you’ll also find the firmware update and a tool for installing it.
