Apple are stirring the iPhone hype machine up again in time for its launch next week, by releasing a few tasty details about the new phone that have previously been unreported.

One of these new features will be the ability to watch YouTube videos using a special player that employs the high quality H.264 codec.

Given that the iPhone comes with WiFi, streaming videos from YouTube should not be a problem (although streaming them over the much slower EDGE network might be - let's hope the European version comes with 3G). Apparenty, there'll be over 10,000 YouTube videos you'll be able to choose from come launch day - which should keep you occupied for a while!
