Apple iPhone to come with Nintendo games With the iPhone set to be released on June 29th (at 6pm, if you need the exact details), the rumour-mill is going into hyper-drive. The latest rumour suggests that none other than Nintendo are going to partner with Apple to release Nintendo games on the iPhone.

According to the rumour (which apparently comes from an "anonymous source" - hmmm, so that inspires confidence then!), the Nintendo games will be released through the iTunes store for a whopping $29 a pop.

The rumour does make a certain amount of sense, as Nintendo now has a large library of games that already work with a touchscreen thanks to the Nintendo DS. As such, the iPhone's touchscreen would make these games a perfect fit.

In addition, the DS doesn't just cater to kids. The rumour claims that the games would cater to an older audience, so as not to cannibalise DS sales, and so games such as Brain Age would be seem to be a perfect for the iPhone.

All in all, then, Nintendo games on the iPhone may not be such a fanciful rumour after all. Of course, we'll know more shortly (Friday, in fact), but one thing's for sure - with Apple's penchant for surprises, and the hype machine almost in melt-down, literally everything is possible!

We'll give you full coverage of the iPhone's launhc and any announcements that are made as they happen, so stay tuned.
