Apple iPhone queue

Today is the day that the iPhone is released, and the world has gone mad over Apple's new device. Not only is everyone in the US seemingly queueing to buy one at this very minute, but blanket coverage of the new phone is dominating the blogosphere and even the TV news alike. With this much hype, the iPhone sure has some living up to do. We UK users won't get our hands on on one for another few months, but at least that'll give Apple time to iron out any flaws (and also add 3G, with any luck!) The iPhone isn't due to be released until 6pm "local time" - i.e. 6pm no matter where you are in the US. Given that I'm in the UK, this means the first lucky iPhone owner will get their hands on the phone at about 1am UK time (although daylight savings both in the UK and the US might throw this calculation out a bit - it always confuses me in the UK, letting alone trying to work it out across two countries and an ocean!), and so I'll be writing about its launch tomorrow. Commitment to the blogging cause is one thing, sleep's another! Anyway, to those of you who seem to be having a whale of a time in the queue waiting for your iPhone - good luck, and let's hope it's as good as you all think it's going to be! [Source: Gizmodo]
