LG have had considerable success with their designer LG Prada phone, and now the iPhone's been released, they look set to improve on the features to turn version 2 into a serious competitor.

The iPhone, if you recall, has only a 2 megapixel camera and no 3G. Although the existing LG Prada phone has similar specs, the new version that LG are allegedly working on will come with a 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, and HSDPA - that's 3.6Mbps, which blows the iPhone's EDGE connection out of the water.

Add to that the 3" touchscreen that makes the existing LG Prada such a close rival to the iPhone, plus MP3 player and radio, and you have one serious designer phone that looks set to take on the iPhone and maybe even win.
