South Korean mobile phone company SK Telecom have released a nifty new use for your mobile phone - use it to remotely control your vacuum cleaner! The vacuum cleaner in question is one of those nifty robotic ones that trundle around your home vacuuming while you sit on your arse watching the footie.

However, traditional robotic cleaners have to find their own way around your house , and must therefore rely on AI algorithms to steer themselves around obstacles. SK Telecom's new cleaner comes equipped with a video camera that beams its pics onto your mobile phone.

You then steer the cleaner around obstacles using your phone, allowing to remain say on your arse while the little robot does its chores, while avoiding the problem of a robot stuck in a corner.

Of course, whether watching a video of your floor while controlling the robot is any less dull than actually vacuuming the floor yourself is anyone's guess, but this is the perfect toy for the more, er, lazy amongst us!
