Pictures of Bang and Olufsen Serenata phone

Bang and Olufsen have teamed up with Samsung again to create another top-end designer phone. The new phone, called the Bang and Olufsen Serenata, takes over from the B&O Serene that the two companies launched back in 2005.
The problem with the Serene was not only did it look pants, it was pretty lacking in features as well, despite its exorbitant price. Accordingly, no-one apart from Jeremy Clarkson actually bought one.
B&O have obviously learned their lesson with the new Serenata, though, as it comes with some tasty Samsung kit. Still looks pants though!
More details and pictures of the Samsung Serenata after the jump.

The first thing you notice when you look at the Serenata is its shape, which leads to your first thought about the new phone – which way up does it go?! Well apparently you hold it with the flat edge down, but I can’t help but think the overall design makes the thing look like a high tech shaver with a polished silver thumb wheel!

Design aside, it does come fully loaded with features. Samsung have managed to cram HSDPA, a 2.2 inch touchscreen, a 4GB Hard drive and a wheel controller into its premium designed shell, making it the most sophisticated mobile phone B&O have ever released. But then, my old 1990s Motorola StarTac was more sophisticated than their last effort!
No word yet on pricing, but as it’s by B&O, expect to take out a small mortgage to pay for the thing!
