Nokia 6210 Navigator mobile phone
Nokia have seemingly increased the pace of mobile phone innovation with the announcement of the Nokia 6210 Navigator at the MWC 2008. The 6210 Navigator is similar in features to the 6120 Navigator, coming with HSDPA and aGPS as standard.

However, what the 6210 adds to the mix is a built-in compass, which acts to rotate the map according to the direction in which you're pointing. In other words, no more having to work out which way down a street you're walking - the map will always point in your direction no matter where you stand. Perfect for women, I understand ;)

What's even more impressive about the 6210 Navigator is that its features aren't that far behind the Nokia N95, which was Nokia's flagship phone of 2007. It shows just how quickly the high end features are trickling down to the mid-range, and also just how easy Nokia are finding it integrating Sat-Nav into the most humble of phones. The 6210 looks just like any other mid-range mobile phone, and so Sat-Nav will very quickly become just another feature, like MP3 players or cameras.

The Nokia 6210 Navigator also comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio and 1GB memory, and will retail for just 300 Euros. The Nokia 6210 Navigator release date is expected to be the third quarter of 2008, so I think it's safe to say we're going to have a GPS phone kind of Christmas!
