Leaked pics of the Nokia X9

Now this little beauty is a sight for sore eyes! It’s the Nokia X9 – or rather, some leaked pics of the Nokia X9, which hasn’t exactly been confirmed by Nokia, but which certainly looks like the real deal.

Nokia’s X-Series range of phones currently comprises the Nokia X3 and X6, and as the letter implies, is all about the Xperience (yeh, I know, it sucks, and is a little too close to Sony Ericsson’s Xperia range!)

What this means is that you get a phone that’s focused primarily on entertainment. You can therefore expect a strong set of multimedia features and social network features aplenty.

Fortunately, we’ve got hold of some X9 specs, and it looks like it certainly won’t disappoint.

More details and pictures of the Nokia X9 after the jump.

Leaked pic of new LG Windows Phone 7

With CTIA Wireless approaching fast, there’s a sudden flurry of Windows Phone 7 Series news hitting the blogosphere. Some of it – such as the news that WinPho7 won’t support copy & paste or multitasking – isn’t particularly welcome, but others – like this tasty new LG WinPho 7 mobile – most certainly is.

There’s not a lot of info on it – indeed, other than it might come with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, there’s absolutely no info at all on it – but it does look superb.

CTIA Wireless is the US’s annual telecoms trade show, so we should see a lot more new from US-related mobile tech companies than we saw at MWC 2010 earlier in the year.

Leaked pics and specs of HTC HD3. One word: stunning

This rather large beauty is the HTC HD3, a huge new smartphone from HTC that doesn’t just follow on from the HTC HD2, it blows it and every other smartphone on the market clean out of the water!

The HD3 looks set to come with Windows Phone 7 Series, which is a big deal in itself. But it’s the amazing list of features that HTC have managed to cram into the HD3 that is so jaw dropping.

Seriously, think of any hardware feature or spec you’d like to see in your dream phone, and the HD3 has it – in spades! Add to that the tasty novelty of being one of the first Windows Phone 7 Series phones, and the HD3 looks set to be one of the most anticipated phones of the year.

Don’t believe me? Check out the HTC HD3’s specifications after the jump.

Leaked pictures of the Nokia C6

Leaked pictures of the Nokia C6 have emerged revealing a classic Nokia smartphone with slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The C6 is the second phone in Nokia’s new C-Series range of phones, and looks very similar to existing Nokia keyboard phones such as the N97.

Fortunately, it should be a lot cheaper than the N97 was when it first came out, as the C-Series is not meant to be a range of high-end phones. Equally, though, it’s not going to be a particularly well-specified phone, which seems to be confirmed with the fact that the C6 will come with only 256MB of onboard RAM.

No other details are available yet, but we’ll be sure to report them when we have them.

Microsoft Pure and Turtle phones heading for Vodafone in May

Microsoft seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment. Not content with rewriting their mobile OS and unleashing Windows Phone 7 Series on us, they’re also rumoured to be developing their own range of mobile phones.

Called Project Pink, the phones form part of a new range from Microsoft that comprises the Microsoft Pure, and, oddly, the Microsoft Turtle, each of which is a new smartphone based on its new mobile OS.

Today we learn that the phones will be released on Verizon in the US on April 20th, and across the UK and the rest of Europe on Vodafone shortly after.

But what is Microsoft Project Pink phone, and are the phones any good?

Read on after the jump for more details.

New look iPhone on its way

With MWC 2010 previewing a raft of new smartphones all snapping at the iPhone’s heels, Apple might just throw off the competition this year by releasing a brand new iPhone with a distinctly new form factor.

That’s the view of Ben Reitzes, a Barclay’s analyst who follows Apple. Talking to EETimes, he said:

I think they will try to change the game on everybody – it bothers them that everyone stole their form factor.

If true, it would certainly be ironic. Apple changed the mobile phone game by shifting the emphasis away from hardware and onto software. Now that the other manufacturers have caught up with software, Apple are now trying to shift back towards hardware again!

Nokia X10 details leaked

A Nokia insider has managed to smuggle out a video showing details of the forthcoming Noia X10, a new unannounced phone that wil be the first to feature Nokia’s new Symbian^3 OS.

Nokia were surprisingly quiet during MWC 2010 – in fact, disappointingly so – and so any hint of a new mobile phone from the company is being welcomed with open arms by a Nokia fan base desperate to see some innovation from the Finnish company to take on the multitude of superphones that were launched in Barcelona last week.

Alas, the new X10 may not be that phone. See the video after the jump to see what I mean.

Sony Ericsson CEO hints at PSP Phone at MWC 2010

Sony Ericsson CEO Bert Nordberg has revealed the company is working much more closely with its parent Sony, and is focusing firmly on the home environment for its future phones.

Nordberg said that future Sony TVs, PCs and stereos, and Sony Ericsson mobiles will all have a common communications interface – DLNA – and that Sony Ericsson’s phones will be much more tightly integrated into Sony’s home entertainment product range.

Nordberg went on to say

In the past, there was no tie-up between us [Sony Ericsson], the PSP platform and Sony, but you can expect to hear much more about that. Sir Howard Stringer’s [chairman of Sony] presence here is no coincidence.”

So, Sony Ericsson PSP phone anyway? It’s been rumoured for years now, makes so much sense, and with Microsoft integrating XBox Live onto its Windows Phone 7 OS, is ultimately inevitable.

Finally, Sony Ericsson’s getting its groove back :)

Nokia N8-00 12 megapixel HD phone set to debut next week

Bring on the rumours! Nokia are thought to be bringing a new high-def video phone to MWC 2010 in the form of the Nokia N8-00. The N8-00 is rumoured to have a tonne of mouth-watering features together with a brand new Symbian OS.

I’ll get to the features in a minute, but first onto Symbian. For the past year or so, excitement has gathered around Google’s Android, which has left Windows Mobile and especially Nokia’s Symbian trailing in its wake.

This caused Nokia to look hard at Symbian, and ultimately ditch the second generation of the Symbian platform (which was called Symbian^2), jumping straight to the third generation (Symbian^3) instead.

The Nokia N8 will feature that third generation. Multi-touch gestures, beatiful user interface, capacitive screens – everything we’ve been waiting for from Nokia since Apple first threw down the iPhone gauntlet in 2007.

As if that wasn’t tasty enough, there’s the small matter of the features of the Nokia N8-00…

Leaked pics of the HTC Incredible help celebrate Android Day

Today must surely be Android Day if the raft of news, leaks and announcements is anything to go by. Everything’s Android from every direction and seemingly every manufacturer!

First up is this, the gloriously named HTC Incredible. Nothing like boasting about your achievements, I guess, but does the Incredible live up to its name? Well, it’s got the 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.7″ screen (possibly AMOLED) and the usual raft of features you’d expect from an Android machine.

Speaking of which, it’s Android 2.1, which, combined with HTC’s renowned Sense UI should certainly make the Incredible glorious if nothing else!

More leaked pics of the HTC Incredible after the jump.
