Pantech IM-U140 mobile TV phone with pop-up screen
Pantech have announced the new Pantech IM-U140 mobile TV phone. An odd-looking phone this one, as the screen pops up at a 30 degree angle to let you view the TV picture more easily. While making the phone look undoubtedly cool and interesting (albeit in a geeky way), it also seems to make it very large!

LG LF1300 phone reads books
LG have released a new phone for the visually impaired that can read books. At first glance, the ability o read a book from a phone sounds amazing, but looking at the details, the LG LF1300 simply downloads an audio book and speaks it to the user using voice synthesis. So, not too amazing, but a nice touch from LG for users not usually thought of by the mobile phone manufacturers.
The 16mm thin mobile phone also comes with MP3 player, bluetooth, and keypads specially developed for the visually impaired. I was initially surprised at the lack of a camera, but then I thought that one through!

Pictures of great looking Pantech IM-U130 phone
Pantech have announced the new Pantech IM-U130, a mobile phone with 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth and 512MB of internal memory. Aside from all that, though, is the looks of this Korean mobile phone.
Silver, slim, large screen, and really sleek and clean looks all round, the Pantech I-U130 looks great. Destined only for Korea at the moment, though, with no news on its availability in other markets.

Samsung SCH-B570 8GB Music Phone
Samsung have announced the SCH-B570 mobile phone. Following in Samsung’s fine tradition of super hi-tech phones, the B570 sports an 8GB hard disk drive capable of storing 1,600 MP3 tunes (in true Samsung style, this is the “world’s largest storage capacity for a handset”). As if that wasn’t enough, it also offers 5.1 channel virtual stereo and echo effect, to apparently bring you the same quality of sound you’d expect from a 5.1 channel home theater system.
And did I mention the satellite mobile TV, Picture in Picture feature, GPS, 2 megapixel camera, and motion sensor? No? Then read on!

Samsung SCH-B470 mobile TV phone with picture-in-picture
Samsung have announced the Samsung SCH-B470 – a mobile TV phone for the seriously addicted telly addict. Not content with just putting TV on a mobile phone, the SCH-B470 offers picture-in-picture – letting you see your TV programme on one side of the screen, whilst doing any of the million other things a Samsung phone will let you do on the other half.

New LG KG920 5 megapixel camera phone
LG have announced the new LG KG920 mobile phone, which comes fully-loaded with a 5 megapixel camera. Although LG have released other mobile phones with similarly-high megapixel cameras, the KG920 is aimed squarely at Sony Ericsson’s CyberShot phones, focusing heavily on the quality of the pictures it can take.

Pictures of the mighty Samsung SCH-B450 3D gaming phone
Samsung have announced the new Samsung SCH-B450 ‘free-folder’ phone. The SCH-B450 is another of Samsung’s high-end technological marvels that certainly has the wow factor. The first thing that grabs your eye is the form factor of the phone. The term ‘free folder’ coomes from the 180 degree swivelling design, which lets you use the phone in clamshell form, or swivel it round to play games. But it’s not just the form factor that’s impressive – in typical Samsung form, the SCH-B450 is packed to the gills with features.

Pictures of new Motorola Z in silver
Motorola have launched the Motorola Z in silver. Originally announced in Korea back in February, the Motorola Z is a slim phone, at just 14.8mm. In true Motorola fashion, however, the new Z offers nothing new over the old (black) Z – just a different colour (silver).
Pantech in “extremely strong position”

After my previous post commenting on VK Mobile’s bankruptcy, and the possible difficulties some of the other smaller Korean handset manufacturers may have, one or two interesting things happened.
