GoldVish, a Swiss company with a name seemingly inspired from Dracula’s love for his aquarium (“look at my GoldVish, and my lovely SvordVish!”), has gone into the Guiness Book of Records as makers of the world’s most expensive sock mobile phone. Costing 1 million EUROs, this jewel-encrusted solid gold mobile phone has been inexplicably shaped like two socks welded together.

The new LG Shine mobile phone has only been on sale for 15 days, yet is already showing signs of breaking all records for LG mobile phones. LG’s previous best-seller, the LG Chocolate, sold 1,000 units per day after its first 3 weeks on sale. In contrast, the LG Shine is already shifting 1,500 units, and is showing no signs of slowing down.

The LG Shine is a family of models, comprising the LG-SV420, KV4200 and LV4200 models. All of the models are distinguished by a mirror LCD on the front and stainless steel construction, giving the LG Shine a polished designer look and feel, which is obviously helping the Shine to sell by the bucketload.

LG are about to release the new LG KE800 Chocolate phone. The LG KE800 is basically an original LG KG800 Chocolate phone with beefed up features and a new slimmer profile. For your money, you get twice the memory (now 256MB), twice the megapixels (now 2 megapixel camera), an FM Radio as well as MP3 player, and stereo bluetooth. In addition, the size of the LG KE800 has shrunk from 15.2 mm thick to a trim 9.9mm.

LG have been showing off the LG Shine, a new LG phone in its Black Label (i.e. posh) series of mobile phones.

Just as the LG Chocolate phones were design-focused, so too is the LG Shine, with the emphasis firmly on the materials used on the outside of the phone.

In particular, the Shine is made completely of metal, and comes with a mirror LCD on the front that looks, quite literally, like a mirror when not displaying anything (hence the term ’shine’).

LG’s mobile phone lineup for this Christmas is looking decidedly trendy. After the huge success the company has had with its Chocolate line of phones, LG is continuing its focus on design, with the new phones looking much better than South Korean phones of old (you listening, Samsung?!)

The LG KG800 Chocolate Phone is a suberb-looking designer phone from LG. As a designer phone, it’s not heavy on features, but that’s not the point – a designer phone must look good, and the LG KG800 Chocolate phone has been widely lauded as one of the best looking mobile phones on the market today.

Motorola recently announced its new Motorola KRZR mobile phone, and PhoneDaily have managed to get a sneak preview. The phone itself is pretty unremarkable – actually, it’s very unremarkable – but you can’t deny it looks good. OK, it looks like a RAZR, but it’s still good looking.

The Motorola RAZR V3c updates the original RAZR V3, adding brand new features and bringing the RAZR up to the mobile phone standard we’ve come to expect. The original RAZR had relatively few features, but Motorola saw the light and endowed the RAZR V3C with 3G and a better camera over the original RAZR V3.
