The best PDA Phone for Christmas is…
PDA phone, smartphone, smart PDA phone – whatever you call it, PDA phones have been the talk of the mobile phone world throughout 2008. There are now tonnes of different PDA phones on the market, and with a bewildering array of phones to choose from, finding the right one has become a nightmare!
To help you through the PDA phone maze, we’ve compiled a little guide to the best smartphones to buy for Christmas 2008.
Nokia E90 Review
Writing a Nokia E90 review is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now, ever since I first bought one! The Nokia E90 Communicator is Nokia’s flagship smartphone, and with its unique blend of mobile office applications and multimedia wizardry, it perfectly mixes both business and pleasure. Its feature list is long, and includes 3.2 megapixel camera, VGA-quality video recording, GPS, HSDPA, a glorious 800 x 352 screen resolution and proper full screen Web browsing. In addition to its multimedia marvels, you can also read and edit Microsoft Office applications, which, when combined with its full-QWERTY keyboard, makes it the perfect business phone, too.
But a long list of features is all very well. The real question is are they any good? Do they actually work as intended, and can you use the E90 as a laptop replacement? Well, I’ve had an E90 for the past six months, so grab a cup of coffee and read on for my extensive Nokia E90 Communicator review to find out.
Oh I do like to blog beside the seaside
It’s Xmas Eve in the UK, nearly 3pm, just over an hour of daylight left, temperature falling, grey leaden skies closing in threatening to rain, and what am I doing? Standing on the beach in Torquay blogging!
No, I’m not trying to win geek of the year award, I’m testing just how mobile a mobile blogger can be! And I’m happy to report that with my trusty Nokia E90, I am indeed extremely mobile.
The only disadvantages at the moment are that I can no longer feel my fingers, due to the cold, and it’s now starting to rain, and despite its seemingly never-ending features, waterproofness is not part of the E90’s armoury! So I’m going back into my car to continue this post…
How to keep a girl quiet with a mobile phone

Ok, so this must rank as one of the more unconventional of my periodic how to articles, but I’ve inadvertently found another use for my increasingly indispensable Nokia E90 – keeping a girl occupied on long journeys :)
I’ve just travelled to Devon for the weekend, which took about 3 hours or so, and had a passenger with me with the attention span of a hamster with ADHD. Trying to find some way of fending off the constant “are we nearly there yet?”s, I was looking for some way to occupy her that didn’t involve earplugs (too obvious) or a gag (even less subtle!)
With a characteristic flash of inspiration, I had it – my Nokia E90 and Facebook! Now all I had to worry about was how well the E90 would be able to hold its HSDPA connection as I travelled at, er, around 70mph! As road tests go, this would be the ultimate – how did the E90 fare?…
Nokia E90 Sat-Nav report

I’m coming back from London now (again writing this post on the train), having spent a glorious afternoon seeing Spamalot in the West End. While there, I got the chance to try out my Nokia E90’s Sat-Nav functionality in earnest, and the results were, well, mixed..
Nokia E90 – the world’s best PDA?

I’ve had my Nokia E90 Communicator for a couple for weeks now, and I’m really starting to use it in earnest. What are my impressions so far? One word: awesome! I’ve stopped thinking of it as a mobile phone, and see it more as a laptop for those times when I don’t actually have my laptop with me.
It’s everything I wanted it to be. It’s the perfect web browser for when you’ve got time to kill and just want to browse the web. When you’re watching TV with friends, for example, and aren’t really interested in the Tv programme itself – you can simply whip out the E90 and start reading the latest TechCrunch articles to while away 10 minutes or so.
But it’s become more than just a 24/7 web browser…much more…
