HTC Tattoo Review – the perfect budget Android phone

Why an HTC Tattoo review, you might ask? Isn’t it just yet another budget Android phone? Well, technically yes – at least in the fact that it’s certainly a budget Android phone, which is perfect if you’re looking to get in on the Android action without paying a fortune.

But “just another” budget Android phone? Nope, not a bit of it! The HTC Tattoo might not be expensive, but that doesn’t mean it can’t come with some killer HTC polish.

Read our full HTC Tattoo review after the jump to discover some of the tricks the Tattoo has up its sleeve.

Nokia C5 – the game changing budget phone

The Nokia C5 has just been announced by Nokia, heralding the dawn of a new age in mobile phones, and a new range to go with it – the C-Series.

At first glance, the C5 doesn’t seem like it’s the dawn of anything particularly exciting. Its features are average, with a 3.2 megapixel camera, aGPS, 2.2″ display, Symbian S60 and Ovi Maps.

So far so dull.

What is new, though, is that the C5 is a budget phone – just 135 Euros unlocked will get you all that, plus a range of social media apps as well.

It’s therefore the first time that high-end features such as Symbian S60, GPS and social media apps have reached their way to the lower reaches of the mobile phone food chain, pushing the functionality of budget phones up to the levels of Nokia’s N-Series just a few short years ago.

Hmmm, that certainly seems like the dawn of something!

More details and pictures of the Nokia C5 after the jump.

Motorola Milestone review – the best QWERTY smartphone on the market

Time now for a Motorola Milestone review. The Motorola Milestone was released late 2009 in the US, where it was called the Motorola Droid and hailed as the saviour of Motorola.

It’s recently been launched in the UK as the Milestone, and is Motorola’s attempt to convince the world that it really can make great phones again – in this case, a great Android 2.1 device designed to take on the wealth of super-smart phones that are on the market.

The question is, though – can it? Does the Milestone offer enough to make it better than its rivals from the likes of HTC, Samsung, Palm, and the iPhone? Does it have a better interface, better features, and a better all round user interface, and is it more than just another Android phone?

In short, is the Milestone worthy of your cash?!

Let’s find out with our Motorola Milestone review

Nokia X10 details leaked

A Nokia insider has managed to smuggle out a video showing details of the forthcoming Noia X10, a new unannounced phone that wil be the first to feature Nokia’s new Symbian^3 OS.

Nokia were surprisingly quiet during MWC 2010 – in fact, disappointingly so – and so any hint of a new mobile phone from the company is being welcomed with open arms by a Nokia fan base desperate to see some innovation from the Finnish company to take on the multitude of superphones that were launched in Barcelona last week.

Alas, the new X10 may not be that phone. See the video after the jump to see what I mean.

Samsung Jet review – Super-speedy media phone that’s now the perfect price

Read on for our full Samsung Jet review.

LG joins the mini trend with the LG Mini GD880

Never one to miss a bandwagon, LG have also released a mini phone in the form of the unsurprisingly-named LG Mini. Joining the likes of HTC and Sony Ericsson, both of whom also released a new mini phone this week, the LG Mini is the smallest 3.2″ full touchscreen phone available.

As you’d expect fromn LG, it’s not exactly short of features either.

Lumigon Androids promise “a shape never seen before”

After the fugliness of the Huawei U8300, it’s nice to see some genuinely beautiful news phones, such as this pair of Lumigons. The Lumigon S1 (left) and T1 are new Android 2.1 devices that not only feature some pretty capable hardware, they’ve also been designed with cutting edge style in mind.

Lumigon are a Scandinavian company, and the intriguing design reflects the phone’s origins (think Bang & Olufsen rather than Ikea!)

It’s not all about design, though. They’ve also powered their phones with 720p video support, HDMI out, and TV remote control. There’s even an HDMI deskstation accessory, which will let you connect your phone to your TV and a Bluetooth keyboard.

Lumigon founder Lars Gravesen also let slip some exciting news about its forthcoming phone, the E1.

“The E1 is the most beautiful phone I have ever seen during my entire 10 year career in mobile business…featuring a unique navigation system and a shape never experienced in mobile phones” he said.

Sweet! Let’s just hope he’s not over-hyping things a tad!

Huawei’s 4 new Androids – 14Mbps fast enough for you?

What’s that coming over the hill, is it a Huawei…

Yes, it certainly is. To be more precise, it’s the Huawei U8100, officially the world’s ugliest phone! Like the other three Huaweis on show here, it’s based on Android and features a new Huawei user interface, which apparently they’ve spent rather more on than the design of the outside of this fugly phone!

Read on after the jump for ore images (if you can bear them!) and more Huawei Android phones.

Video: Sagem’s weird PUMA Phone for the Sporties out there

Sagem have got together with Puma and released the PumaPhone at MWC 2010. The PumaPhone is, as you’d imagine, a ‘lifestyle’ phone – specifically, designed for someone whose lifestyle revolves around keeping fit, running, cycling and generally moving about a bit.

There are dedicated apps for keeping track of your performance in a variety of activites, from running to cycling, as well as the usual obligatory MP3 player (complete with novelty deck for ‘scratching’ – yes, it needs the inverted commas, just check it out for yourself in the video below!).

See the video of the PUMAPhone after the jump.
