Leaked pictures of the Sony Ericsson Faith
If you wondered why I called the HTC HD2 the best Windows Mobile phone in the world, take a look at these leaked pics of the Sony Ericsson Faith and shudder!
The Faith hasn’t even been announed yet – these are leaked pics after all – and so it’s a phone that will be much new than the HD2 when it’s released, yet already you feel like you’re looknig at a phone from 2005!
Blimey, Windows Mobile needs updating, and fast – and Sony Ericsson needs to stop working on ugly phones and ugly OSes like this!
Sony Ericsson Robyn leaked, plus why they killed the Nexus name (you can probably guess!)
Sony Ericsson are also absent from CES 2010, keeping their tinder dry for MWC no doubt, but again we’ve got another leaked photo, this time of the Sony Ericsson Robyn. The Robyn appears to be a cut-down Xperia X10 (and may eventually be called the X10 Mini), and so is another Android device featuring the same user interface as the X10, but with a smaller screen and probably no keyboard.
Sony Ericsson W995 Review – discover the best kept secret in mobile phones
The price of the Sony Ericsson W995 has recently dropped, making it a fantastic deal if you’re looking for a top of the range phone with a huge list of features, but for a bargain price. In fact, its new price makes the W995 the best kept secret in mobile phones this Christmas – and one that you’ll be delighted to have discovered!
Why? Because although the W995 has a great feature-set – including huge 8 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and tons more – other sexier phones have since been released, and so the price of the Sony Ericsson W995 has had to be lowered to attract people’s attention again.
The result is a great mobile phone with some superb features for a ridiculously low price – perfect for a credit crunch-busting Christmas present!
To see if the W995 is for you, read our Sony Ericsson W995 review below.
Leaked pictures of the Sony Ericsson Kurara HD phone
First this week, we had official news of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, and now we have leaked pics and rumours of the Sony Ericsson Kurara. Unlike the X10, the Kurara isn’t a smartphone; rather it looks to be a multimedia phone with killer good looks, 8 megapixel camera, and better still, the ability to record in 720p HD.
More details and loads of pics of the Sony Ericsson Kurara after the jump.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Preview
Sony Ericsson have announced the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 smartphone, and it looks stunning! The X10 features a number of first: it’s Sony Ericsson’s first Android phone, and it’s Android’s first phone with a high-end feature-set!
The combination is simply stunning. In one phone, you get
- an 8 megapixel camera, aGPS, WiFi, HSDPA, 1GHz processor and stunning 4″ touchscreen display
- Android 1.6 smartphone operating system, complete with Google Search, Maps, browser, YouTube and access ot the Google the Android Market
- a stunning new user interface developed by Sony Ericsson that shows what interfaces will be like in the new decade.
And that’s just scratching the surface! Read on for our extended Xperia X10 preview, and more glorious pics and videos!
New video and release date of Sony Ericsson X10
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is shaping up to be the killer Android device of 2009 (although the Motorola Droid would argue with that!). Knowing how hungry the world is for more details of the X10, Sony Ericsson has decided to tease us with a video showing off bits of it.
And I do mean bits – the video’s infuriating as it tantalises us with the odd glimpse of the X10 without showing use the whole.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait to too long, as the release date of the X10 has just been announced.
Check the video out after the jump.
Sony Ericsson Satio Review – the best camera phone in the world
Before beginning this Sony Ericsson Satio review, we need to clear something up – Satio is pronounced Sah-tee-oh, apparently! Right, with that out the way, let’s have a look at what the Sony Ericsson Satio has to offer.
Imagine having the perfect mix of camera and phone, with a huge 12.1 megapixel camera capable of taking superb pictures, coupled with a touchscreen user interface and all the mobile connectivity and multimedia features you could ever wish for. That, in a nutshell, is the Sony Ericsson Satio.
When Sony Ericsson decide to create a flagship mobile phone, they don’t mess about – they create one that blows the competition out the water! The Satio might not be the first 12.1 megapixel camera phone on the market (the Samsung Pixon 12 takes that honour, at least in Europe and the US), but is the best – and by a long long way.
Read on after the jump for the complete Sony Ericsson Satio review.
Update: We’ve added a guide on how to choose the best camera phone, and picked our list of the best camera phones of 2009
Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Preview – the best Windows Mobile smartphone yet?
Sony Ericsson are on a roll at the moment with their Xperia range of high-end phones. Hot on the heels of the X5 comes the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 (not sure what happened to the X3 or X4!), the latest Windows Mobile based Sony Ericsson smartphone that features the Xperia brand.
Xperia is a brand new range of Sony Ericsson smartphones that started off well with the Xperia X1, but which seemed to stall a bit as no new phones followed in its wake. The company has now changed all that with two new Xperias debuting on the same day, plus a new Android-based Xperia waiting in the wings.
I’ve already previewed the Xperia X5, a designer phone with a see-through screen. What, though, of the X2? Well, it’s a high-end smartphone that has a similar QWERTY keyboard to the X1, but which also adds a tonne of cutting-edge features.
Find out which ones after the jump!
Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness X5 Preview
Sony Ericsson has decided to take its Xperia range of phones decidedly upmarket with the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness.
Whereas other Xperia phones are high-end smartphone affairs that come with virtually every feature you can think of, the Xperia Pureness is, well, pure! It’s a fashion phone first and foremost, and its main claim to fame is its stunning see through screen, which can be seen on both sides of the phone.
It’s easier to see than talk about, so check out the video after the jump.
Sony Ericsson Jalou – a fashion phone with mirror screen
Sony Ericsson has announced the Sony Ericsson Jalou, a phone so fashionable it’s likely to be out of date next year! Sony Ericsson has decided that if you’re going to make a fashion statement, you might as well make it a bold one, which is exactly what the Jalou is.
With its sharp diamond-esque lines, shiny colours, mirrored screen, and a Dolce & Gabanna option, the Jalou is aimed squarely at women who want a phone that looks glorious. Does it manage to do this? Read on and judge for yourself.
