Here are a couple of video reviews of the new Sony Ericsson P1i smartphone. Annoyingly, the first review doesn’t show much more than the P1’s email features and its ability to download new applications, which the Sony Ericsson guy was clearly interested in, but which made me think “yeh great, easy to buy new stuff for it, but show us what it can actually do!”

Anyway, the innovative dual-key keyboard gets a good going over, and you can see how quick(ish!) the user interface is, so it’s worth a watch.

Sony Ericsson have announced the new Sony Ericsson P1 smartphone, which has surprised the world, largely because we all thought it was going to be called the P700i! In a break with previous numbering formats, the P1 replaces the existing Sony Ericsson P900i and P990i smartphones, and offers much better features in a smartphone that’s 25% smaller than a P990.
