New Sony Ericsson W880i Review posted

The Sony Ericsson W880i is a super-slim designer phone, and, as this Sony Ericsson W880i review shows, looks absolutely glorious.

Despite being just 9.4mm thin, Sony Ericsson have managed to cram 3G, a 2 megapixel camera, great sounding Walkman music player, and a cool 1GB of storage into the W880i.

There are other designer phones on the market, but not many manage to carry off the combination of great looks and great features that the W880i does.

Sony Ericsson W880i Video

If you can’t wait to see the new Sony Ericsson W880i in the flesh, then maybe this promo video will keep you going until Sony Ericsson officially launch their new Walkman phone (which shouldn’t be long now).

Although not offering anything particularly innovative, the Sony Ericsson W880i exudes class, and is super-thin for those who love their phones on the slim side. This looks set to be the best-looking Walkman phone yet, and should be a huge hit for Sony Ericsson.

Super-thin Sony Ericsson W880i finally unveiled

Sony Ericsson have today announced the much anticipated Sony Ericsson W880i.

The new super-thin Walkman phone has been the subject of much gossip for some time, with various leaked shots of it featuring almost every week.

Indeed, if it wasn’t for that other mobile phone, the W880i (or ‘Ai’, as it was codenamed) would have been the only thing worth talking about so far this year!

Read on for more details of the Sony Ericsson W880i.

Sony Ericsson W880i Release Date

Unconfirmed news reaches us that the Sony Ericsson W880i release date will be February 23rd 2007 in the UK, priced £300. For the price, you also get a 1GB M2 card. The news is unconfirmed, but it’s highly likely, as the 23rd February is just 8 days after the end of the 3GSM mobile phone conference, where Sony Ericsson will be officially launching the W880i.

So for those of you who can’t wait to get your hands on Sony Ericsson’s new super-slim super-cool Walkman phone, not too much longer now (that is, assuming you’ve saved up enough to buy one!)

CES 2007 – Official pictures of new Sony Ericsson W880

Sony Ericsson have been a bit quiet at CES 2007 so far, but one thing they have released is a set of official pictures of their new Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson W880. Called the Ai in prototype form, the W880 isn’t quite ready yet, but as you can see from the pics, it won’t be long now before we see it in our shops.

Much clearer pictures of new Sony Ericsson Ai

This is more like it! No sooner had I posted out of focus leaked photos of the new Sony Ericsson Ai, much better pictures have emerged, showing the Ai in its shiny silver and brooding black finery. The keys are small, the phone is slim, and it looks set to challenge the LG Chocolate in the looks department.

Sony Ericsson have a few designer phones up their sleeves for next year, and although the Ai (or W880i as it might officially be known) is being pitched as a Walkman phone, it’s got the looks to be a designer phone in its own right.
