New pics of the Sony Ercisson W960i
New pictures have emerged of the Sony Ericsson W960i, a new top-end Walkman phone. Coming fully-loaded with Wi-Fi, 8GB storage and a 3 megapixel camera, plus a touchscreen thrown in for good measure, the Sony Ericsson W960i is set to take on the iPhone when it’s released in the UK in a month or so’s time.
Although arguably not as good looking as the iPhone, you have to admit that the W960i is one handsome bugger of a phone!

Video Review of Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman phone
Sony Ericsson announced the Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman phone last week, and as promised, here’s a longer video of it.
The W960i is set to be Sony Ericsson’s flagship music phone, and as such is destined to go head to head with the iPhone, which is due for release in the US on June 29th.
As such, it’s got some meaty competition ahead of it.
To give it a sporting chance against the iPhone, Sony Ericsson have given the W960i a touchscreen interface, which, as you can see from the video, seems to work well, but in a functional way, rather than an intuitive and extremely attractive way like the iPhone.

Video of Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman phone – with bubbles!

Sony Ericsson announced the new Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman phone last week, complete with touchscreen and new user interface. Apparently, a few people have been getting quite excited about the new Walkman interface in particular, so I thought I’d dig up a video of it to see what all the fuss was about.
It has bubbles you know!
I’ll post a few more videos of Sony Ericsson’s new phones over the coming days, so stay tuned.
Sony Ericsson W960 – a wi-fi walkman phone set to challenge the iPhone
Sony Ericsson have also announced the Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman phone amongst their plethora of announcements today.
The W960i is a top-of-the-line Walkman phone, and comes with 8GB of Memory Stick storage (enough for around 8,000 tunes), plus Wi-Fi.
Curiously, though, it doesn’t come with HSDPA, unlike it’s cheaper sibling the W910. Not sure why Sony Ericsson feel the need to give a phone Wi-Fi, but then cripple its mobile download data transfer rate (although it does come with 3G).
In addition to music, the W960 also comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and a 2.6″ colour screen, as well as video playback a 30fps. As such, the W960 is a good all-round multimedia performer.
