Here it is at last – my hands-on T-Mobile G1 review! I’ve had a Nokia E90 smartphone for the past 18 months, but was forced to replace it when it started to go slightly haywire! So after much thinking, I decided to go for the T-Mobile G1, the first Google Android phone on the market. And I’m so glad I did! To say it’s completely changed the way I use my mobile phone, the Web, and even the time in my day is an understatement!

Just like the iPhone, the G1 is a disruptive technology that’ll further transform the mobile phone market.

OK, so you’ve probably not been waiting for it exactly, but it should tide you over until the full review next week.

With the T-Mobile G1 Android phone just days away from launch (22nd October in the US, 30th October in the UK), opinions are already been expressed among the blogosphere.

Overall reviews seem to be favourable, particularly given the G1 is the first of the first generation of Android phones, but there are two key weaknesses that might effectively limit the G1’s appeal: lack of video features, and, ironically, over-reliance on Google.

The new T-Mobile G1 Android smartphone hasn’t even been released yet, but already the user manual has been found on the Web! You can download it here to check it out for yourself. Gizmodo have already had a gander at it and published 40-odd photos taken from the manual. They complain that it seems a bit complicated, but having waded through my Nokia E90’s manual, it’s a cakewalk in comparison!

At last, the world’s first Google Android phone, the T-Mobile G1, is finally here! The blogosphere is far more upbeat about the G1 than it expected to be, and personally, I think it’s fantastic!

I know exactly what I want from a smartphone, having had a Nokia E90 for the past year and having tested several Windows Mobile devices, and the G1 seems to have got everything right.
