Sony Ericsson C902 Review

Time for a Sony Ericsson C902 camera phone review, I think! The C902 is another Sony Ericsson CyberShot phone, this time destined to take over from its predecessor, the Sony Ericsson K850i. As you’d guess, the C902 is therefore all about taking photos, but it’s got an armoury of other features as well. Not quite as many as a Nokia N-Series phone, but it is extremely well equipped, and much slimmer than the K850i, too.

Better still, the C902 is being pitched as a mid-range phone, so despite its range of high-end features, it won’t break the bank.

What do you get for your money? Read our full Sony Ericsson C902 review to find out.

Sony Ericsson K800i Review

Sony Ericsson K800i review

The following Sony Ericsson K800i review is a little different from other mobile phone reviews across the Web (and certainly different from other reviews we’ve done here at MobileMentalism). It’s a long-term review, showing what the Sony Ericsson K800i has been like to use over the course of six months.

The K800i is a very capable camera phone, being part of Sony Ericsson’s CyberShot range, and is now available at extremely attractive prices. To see whether the phone is for you or not, hit the link to read our full long-term Sony Ericsson K800i review.

Nokia N96 Review – Multimedia Mobile Monster

No Nokia N96 review worth its salt would be complete without referring to its spiritual daddy, the hugely popular Nokia N95. The Nokia N96 offers similar features and a similar form factor to the N95, but with a much more mature platform (in other words, unlike the N95, it actually works without crashing!). However, it’s not, apparently, designed as the N95′s successor (largely because the N95 is still on sale!) Rather, it’s a video and mobile TV phone that just happens to include much of the N95′s functionality!

However, whereas the N95 was a revolutionary phone, the N96 is more evolutionary. The features of the N96 aren’t as world-shattering as they were when they first appeared a year earlier on the N95, leading some to question whether it was actually a boring phone.

Boring? GPS, 5 megapixel camera, mobile TV, video, HSDPA, WiFi, etc., etc., and we call that boring?! The N95 really did set the bar high!

Still, if you’re going to buy a new mobile phone, you need to know whether it’s going to be the phone for you. Only one way to find out – read on for our comprehensive Nokia N96 review!

Samsung Soul Review

The Samsung Soul is the first mobile phone review I’ve done in a while, but I felt it deserved more coverage as it’s an intriguing mobile phone. Not only does it look stunning (which is a nice new trend that Samsung have managed to keep up throughout their entire Ultra range of mobile phones, of which the Soul is set to be the last), but it comes with some cracking features as well.

The Samsung Soul is the flagship phone for Samsung for 2008, so you’d expect it to be feature-rich, but feature-rich and good looking? That takes some doing!

The question is, how well do the features on the Samsung Soul work? Read on to find out with our comprehensive Samsung Soul review.

Toshiba Portege G450 – when phones and Swiss Army Knives converge

Toshiba have announced the Toshiba Portege G450, a phone that quite simply looks like no other. In fact, it looks more like a USB key with a few bells and whistles on it, and that’s not coincidence. Toshiba aimed to create a new mobile phone that acts as a Swiss Army Knife both in terms of function (well, not literally – there’s no knife in it!) and form.

CES 2008: iRiver shows off a prototype GPS phone

Everyone and his dog seems to be showing off GPS phones at CES this year. Now iRiver has jumped on the bandwagon by showing off a prototype of a new iRiver GPS phone that they expect to release by the end of 2008.

This will be the first mobile phone that iRiver have released, and they’re an unexpected entrant in what must be the most competitive of all hi-tech markets. However, having had great success in the MP3 and Personal Media Player markets, they clearly know what they’re doing, both from a technological perspective, and, just as importantly, a design and marketing perspective.

They’ve got a tough fight on their hands, but they should be able to build a niche for themselves.

CES 2008: World’s fastest GPS phone on show

It wasn’t just the big 5 mobile phone makers who were showing off their wares at CES this year. Completely unheard of Much smaller companies were also showing off their technology. Companies such as dMedia, or as they’re better known: “who?!”

OK, so you may not have heard of them, but what they had to show was pretty nifty: not just the world’s fastest GPS phone, but the world’s fastest GPS phone with dual screens!

LG KU990 Viewty Review

The first in-depth LG KU990 Viewty review has reached us, courtesy of CNet. After spending the last year or so focusing on designer phones, such as the LG Chocolate and LG Shine, LG are repositioning themselves in the high-tech arena once more, and the new 5 megapixel LG Viewty camera phone is the first phone to be released as part of their new strategy.

Of course, LG have released a 5 megapixel camera phone before in the shape of the LG KG920, but that had no autofocus and was pants. The LG Viewty, on the other hand, looks to be glorious.

Sony Ericsson K810i review

The Sony Ericsson K810i is another of the company’s famed Cyber-Shot phones.

Featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera with a proper Xenon flash, the K810i is capable of taking pictures that would be worthy of a digital camera just a few years ago.

As I’ve come to realise, Sony Ericsson’s phones aren’t all-in-wonders, like some of Nokia’s or Samsung’s, but are instead phones that focus on one or two key features, and implement them extraordinarily well.

The K810i is one such phone – a 3G phone with cool looks and an excellent camera.

Read on, then, for the Sony Ericsson K810i review, including comparison photos taken from the K810i and also a Canon IXUS 70 digital camera.

New Sony Ericsson W880i Review posted

The Sony Ericsson W880i is a super-slim designer phone, and, as this Sony Ericsson W880i review shows, looks absolutely glorious.

Despite being just 9.4mm thin, Sony Ericsson have managed to cram 3G, a 2 megapixel camera, great sounding Walkman music player, and a cool 1GB of storage into the W880i.

There are other designer phones on the market, but not many manage to carry off the combination of great looks and great features that the W880i does.
