Leaked pictures of the Nokia C6

Leaked pictures of the Nokia C6 have emerged revealing a classic Nokia smartphone with slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The C6 is the second phone in Nokia’s new C-Series range of phones, and looks very similar to existing Nokia keyboard phones such as the N97.

Fortunately, it should be a lot cheaper than the N97 was when it first came out, as the C-Series is not meant to be a range of high-end phones. Equally, though, it’s not going to be a particularly well-specified phone, which seems to be confirmed with the fact that the C6 will come with only 256MB of onboard RAM.

No other details are available yet, but we’ll be sure to report them when we have them.

Samsung Jet review – Super-speedy media phone that’s now the perfect price

You’ve seen the TV ad – now read the Samsung Jet review!

The ad bangs on a lot about how you don’t have enough time in the day, and how the Jet can save you time by being super fast, super-responsive, and super useful.

Is any of it true? Is the Jet as fast as Samsung claim, and is it a phone worth buying?

Read on for our full Samsung Jet review.

LG joins the mini trend with the LG Mini GD880

Never one to miss a bandwagon, LG have also released a mini phone in the form of the unsurprisingly-named LG Mini. Joining the likes of HTC and Sony Ericsson, both of whom also released a new mini phone this week, the LG Mini is the smallest 3.2″ full touchscreen phone available.

As you’d expect fromn LG, it’s not exactly short of features either.

Video of Samsung Monte phone

Samsung announced the Samsung Monte shortly before this week’s MWC 2010, and it was on show in Barcelona, as you’d expect.

The Monte is a mid-range series of mobile phone with nothing particularly distinctive about them. They’ve got the usual connectivity options – Wi-Fi, HSDPA, and also aGPS. There’s also the by-no ubiquitous social networking app, which now even has its own acronym (SNS – Social Network Service).

Other than that, the only thing of note is the fact that it does look rather good – oh, and the nifty video, which you can see after the jump.

Motorola Quench, the perfect intro to the world of Android

Motorola have released a new smartphone at MWC 2010 in the shape of this, the Motorola Quench. Unlike many other phones debuting this week, the Quench isn’t going to know anyone’s socks off – it’s basically just a Motorola DEXT without the keyboard.

However, it backs up Motorola’s commitment to Android, and should be a cheap option ofr those people looking to get into smartphones cheaply.

LG Pop GD510 review – At last, a touchscreen phone that doesn’t cost the earth

LG have released the LG Pop GD510, a touchscreen smartphone that’s been on something of a diet. Following on from the success of the LG Cookie, itself a lightweight touchscreen phone that’s super-cheap but does just enough of what it needs to (and which has sold an incredible 7 million units), the LG Pop GD510 avoids the feature bloat of most other touchscreen smartphones, and focuses solely on the features customers need.

What features are they? Read on after the jump to find out.

Nokia X6 – Comes With Spore

Nokia has revealed the new Nokia X6 music phone at Nokia World 2009. The Nokia X6 is the first of a new range of X-Series devices that points the way to a new direction for the company – and a much better one than was evident with its recent N97.

Whereas the N-Series range was described by Nokia as “multimedia computers”, reflecting the high-end set of features each device incorporated, the X-Series focuses firmly on entertainment. Music, video and social connectivity are at the heart of the X-Series phones, as is a brand new user interface and experience.

The Nokia X6 features a glorious 3.2″ touchscreen phone that’s actually extremely responsive. Unlike the N97, the X6 is based on capacitive rather than resistive technology, which means a simple swipe with your finger is all that it needs to control the menus and screens, rather than the stylus or a fingernail that the N97 demanded you use.

This makes the whole experience much improved. Add to that cracking features like a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, glorious social connectivity via Facebook, 32GB of storage and a battery capable of playing a whopping 35 hours of music between charges, and the Nokia X6 looks looks like it could be a breakthrough device for Nokia.

More details and videos of the Nokia X6 after the jump.

Nokia 6700 Classic Review

The Nokia 6700 that I’m reviewing here is the latest in Nokia’s illustrious Classic line of mobile phones. Classic not in the sense that it’s an all-singing all-dancing super-phone, but in that forms the core of Nokia’s entire line-up. The Classic line has traditionally been one of Nokia’s best-selling range of phones, offering decent features at a good price.

The big features from Nokia’s flagship phones eventually find their way down to the Classic range a year or so later, so a Nokia 6700 review not only tells us about the phone itself, it’s also a good snapshot of the state of innovation in the mobile phone industry in general.

Read on for the complete Nokia 6700 review after the jump.

Samsung F400 Review

Time for a Samsung F400 review. The Samsung F400 is a music phone that combines the best bits of the Apple iPod with the luxurious sound qualities of a Band and Olufsen speaker system. Samsung realised they didn’t have the brand power to compete with Sony Ericsson’s Walkman range (or the Apple iPhone, for that matter), and so they’ve been using Bang and Olufsen’s musical wizzardry in their phones for some time now.

With the F400, they’ve included B&O speakers and a B&O ICEpower amp, as well as an iPod-esque music wheel. Add all the other bells and whistles you’d expect from a Samsung phone, and the Samsung F400 has the makings of a cracking music phone.

Let’s see how good it is with our Samsung F400 review, after the jump.

The Nokia Tube is here – a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic preview with videos, pictures and everything!

Nokia have finally announced the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone. Unofficially called the Nokia Tube, the 5800 is Nokia’s latest and fanciest music phone, and has been touted for some time as Nokia’s answer to the iPhone.

The iPhone, of course, has been with us for over a year now, so their response has been a bit late in coming – indeed, they’re the last mobile phone company to release a touchscreen phone – but it’s here now, and there’s been a lot of hype around this phone, so it’s time to take a look at some of its features.
