The Nokia N97 is the first Nokia N-Series touchscreen phone, and so comparisons with the Apple iPhone are inevitable. So inevitable, in fact, that the first thing everyone wants to see is pictures of the N97 next to the iPhone.

Fortunately, Scoble, who’s at Nokia’s N97 briefing this morning, has kindly obliged, so here are the pics, courtesy of Scoble and Flickr.

The hype is over folks – welcome to the new Nokia N97, Nokia’s latest N-Series wonder phone. The N97 seems to be a neat blend of an N-Series phone and an E90, taking all the multimedia gloriousness of the N-Series and marrying it to the superb Web browsing experience you get on the E90.

There’s a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which wil be super-ergonomic (the E90’s is a peach), and a massive screen for desktop-like Web browsing. In fact, the screen is the star of the N97. It’s massive – 3.5″ in size, widescreen 16:9 ratio, and touchscreen to boot, making it perfect for browsing the Web.

What better time for a Nokia N85 review than the day before its release? Yes, the latest all singing all dancing N-Series phone from the Finns is about to hit our shores (and our stores!), as the Nokia N85 is launching in the UK on Hallowe’en of all days (second only to April 1st in auspicious release dates!), so right in the nick of time, let’s check it out and see what it offers.

It’s hands-on review time again, and this time I’ve reviewed the Nokia N82. The N82 is a slim candybar N-Series phone, meaning it comes stacked with goodies. Featuring 5 megapixel camera, GPS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, and virtually everything the N95 had, all in a package that’s a third thinner, the N82 looks like it could be another winner form Nokia.

The Nokia N96, Nokia’s latest multimedia smartphone, will be released in just a few weeks’ time. Despite no official announcement from Nokia yet, we have it on good authority that the N96 will be released in August, which is perfect timing for your holiday.

Why for your holiday? Well, not so you can sit on the beach and take calls (though you could if you wanted to, but if you do, you should really think about getting a life!). No, the N96 is a multimedia powerhouse, and is perfect for capturing pictures, video, watching TV, sending your pics and vids directly to Flickr and YouTube – and it’ll even help you navigate your way around foreign cities.
